General Information
B Sweet & Savory Bakery & Catering respects the privacy of our customers, business partners, employees and job applicants and visitors to our websites who may choose to provide personal information. We recognize the need for appropriate protections and management of personal information that you provide to us. This Privacy Statement will assist you in understanding what types of information we may collect, how that information may be used, and with whom the information may be shared. -
Bakery Policies

When Ordering
All orders are to be paid in full when the order is placed either by phone or in person at the bakery. All online orders for pickup are paid in advance in full online when order is placed on www.bsweetandsavory.com. This includes online shipper orders, i.e. Mammoth Cinnamon Buns, cakes, etc. -
Refund/Exchange Policy
We take pride in the preparation and presentation of our desserts and cakes. If you are unhappy with your order and/or purchase, immediately notify us of your concern and return your dessert to us within 24 hours of pick-up or delivery. We will give you credit for the amount returned for use toward a future purchase. All refunds will be provided as a credit to the credit card used or a store credit, i.e. B Sweet & Savory Gift Card within five (5) business days upon receipt of the returned merchandise. -
Order Cancellation Policy
B Sweet & Savory Bakery & Catering understands that plans change and we will gladly assist you in making changes to your order date and time whenever possible. We accept weekday cancellations by phone or email (cancellations@bsweetandsavory.com) prior to 2:00 pm, 3 business days before your event. All changes must be handled directly with a representative of B Sweet & Savory Bakery & Catering and confirmed. B Sweet & Savory Bakery & Catering reserves the right to charge a cancellation fee if insufficient time is given, as stated above, due to costs incurred in the purchase, priority and preparation of the order. Charges for cancellations after the above time will be as follows: 25% of the entire order will be charged for cancellations 48 hours prior to the event and 100% of the entire order will be charged for canceling the order after that time. It is entirely up to B Sweet & Savory Bakery & Catering discretion, to change or otherwise offer any other options to the customer. Special orders (Highly Decorated Cakes) that are not picked up will NOT be refunded. Orders that require delivery and cannot be delivered due to customer’s wrong information or availability will be taken back to B Sweet & Savory Bakery & Catering and stored until further notice from customer. Should you require a future delivery date, you will be held responsible for an additional delivery charge. Because of the nature of our business and our quality and freshness assurance, we will dispose of any cake, cupcake, baked item that is not picked up or delivered within 48 hours after the due time and you will NOT be refunded due to the above rules. Wedding & Grooms Cake Cancellation Policy
Wedding deposits are non-refundable & non-transferable (Deposit is deducted from the wedding cake balance only). Any Wedding or Groom’s cake orders cancelled 3-6 months prior to your wedding date will receive only a 50% refund on any payments made after the deposit. Any Wedding or Groom’s cake orders cancelled less than 3 months prior to your wedding date will receive NO refunds on any payments made after the deposit. -
Change Order
There will be a $15 Change Order fee for any changes that are requested within 24 hours of the time required. -
Highly Decorated Cake Orders
Highly decorated cakes include wedding cakes, grooms cakes, sculpted cakes and cutout cakes. The latest time available to order a Highly Decorated cake is the Wednesday two weeks prior to the event, by noon. The above Order Cancellation Policy will apply for those situations. During peak holiday season B Sweet & Savory Bakery & Catering reserves the right to adjust the cut-off date if orders have exceeded our production capabilities. PLEASE NOTE: Out of state orders WILL NOT be charged sales tax. In state orders will be charged 7.25% sales tax ($4.75 state and $2.75 county). -
Out of Stock
Our stock fluctuates throughout the day with sales demand and stock that we receive from vendors. If an item you ordered is out of stock, we will first try to contact the customer either by phone or via email. We will give you other comparable choices to choose from. -
Catered Event Policies

Minimum Orders
B Sweet & Savory Catering requires a minimum of ten (10) guests to book an event. -
Guest Count Guarantee Policy
The estimated number of guests attending your event is required upon selection of your menu. The estimated number of guests attending an event is required a minimum of seven (7) full business days before the event date. The final guaranteed number of guests is due four (4) full business days prior to the event. Should we not receive the final guaranteed number of guests four (4) full business days before the event, the estimated guaranteed number will be charged. -
Menu Selection
Menu selection shall be completed prior to contract approval. Custom or extensive menus require confirmation ten (10) business days prior to the event. We will attempt to work with our guests to accommodate last minute changes or requests, but we cannot guarantee that we will always be able to do so and a fee of 25% of the contract shall be assessed per request. -
Cancellation Policy
An event may be cancelled with no charges up to seven (7) full business days prior to the event. Cancellation of services made four (4) full business days prior to the event shall be charged 50% of the contract. Cancellation of services made less than four (4) full business day of the event will be charged 100% of the contract. -
Inclement Weather Policy
In the extremely rare event that the catering is cancelled due to adverse weather, or the threat of impending inclement weather, the client will not incur any charges associated with the event. If the catering event could proceed as planned, but the client makes the decision to cancel their event for any weather-related reason, the client will be required to inform the caterer 48 hours in advance in order to avoid any charges. If the client does not cancel within the 48-hour period, the client will be billed 45% of the estimated total cost. All other circumstances will be covered by the general cancellation policy. -
Food and Beverage Policy
In accordance with NC Health Department regulations, any food leftover from the event remains property of the caterer and under law must be removed by the caterer and cannot be removed by the client. -
Bar Service
At this time, we have elected not to offer service of beer, wine and mixed beverages. However, we could provide a list of providers of this bar service that we highly recommend. -
Delivery/Shipping Policy
We ship via FedEx within the 48 contiguous states through our online store. International orders for B Sweet & Savory merchandise can also be placed through our website. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship baked goods outside of the United States due to U.S Customs restrictions.
Orders are to made via the “Order Form” located on the B Sweet & Savory website. Upon receipt of a completed order from, the customer is provided with a confirmation email and subsequent invoice. Once payment is received, the order is filled.
Orders placed prior to 2:00 p.m. EST generally ship within two business days. Orders placed after 2:00 p.m. EST ship within 3-4 business days. Orders placed Friday, Saturday and Sunday will generally ship on Monday. Please note orders placed on Sunday may ship on Tuesday.

Delivery/Shipping Methods
Once your order has been filled, we deliver within the area of Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill, North Carolina and ship using FedEx Overnight, FedEx 2Day A.M., FedEx Home or Ground, and USPS for International orders. You will receive an email confirmation when your order is placed, and an email when your package is shipped. Non-cupcake perishable items can only be shipped no later than 2 Day A.M. delivery, while merchandise can be shipped overnight, 2 Day, or Home or Ground delivery. Perishable orders shipped to NY, NJ, PA, MD, CT, RI and MA may qualify for home or ground shipped rates for items that may reach the recipient in 1-2 business days. All cupcakes are shipped overnight only. Under no condition will cupcakes be shipped with dry ice.

Local Delivery
Deliveries are made to public areas. Residential delivery service is only available via FedEx and UPS at this time. -
Tracking
Use your tracking number to track the status of your package on ups.com or Fedex.com. Deliveries typically occur during normal business hours and depend on service selected. Your tracking number may not appear in the FedEx tracking system for 24 hours. Please be patient. You will be able to see it flow through the FedEx system and know the exact day it will arrive. -
Delivery
While B Sweet & Savory does not require a signature for your delivery, we can only guarantee the quality of our product if it is received by the shipping time selected by the customer at the time of purchase. According to FedEx policy their drivers will only leave the package at a recipient's door, or other secure location, if the driver believes it is 'safe' and reasonable to do so. For this reason it is also necessary for customers to notify a gift recipient of their Sweet & Savory Surprise before the date of delivery. -
Returns
If there is a problem with an order you received, please call (919) 806-8203 or email us at resolution@bsweetandsavory.com Refunds may not be given for shipping delays caused by inclement weather, package refusal, and/or incomplete or incorrect ordering or delivery address. Claims for damaged product must be submitted within 24 hours of delivery. The shipping company may require that the damaged product, box & all items included in package be picked up for inspection; so please do not discard the box, products or any of its contents. Packages left at the door – sometimes a shipper will leave the package at the door if they determine it is safe. Apartments, Condos, Dormitories, Hotels, Hospitals – shipments are usually directed to a complex office or receiving department which may result in delays. We recommend letting the recipient know they will be receiving a package so they can be on heighten alert for it. No refunds are given due to this delay. No deliveries are accepted at Military Bases or P.O. Boxes. Deliveries to extended delivery areas are not guaranteed. Cakes and cupcakes are perishable food items and therefore cannot be returned. Credit card authorization and verification must be received prior to processing an order. UPS shipments occur Tuesday through Friday, excluding holidays for Next Day Air delivery unless otherwise noted i.e, Ground Shipment. Additional questions or problems may be directed to our shipping department and will be handled on individual basis according to our store policy. -
